Attending a massive global gaming tournament brings an incredible rush of adrenaline, but navigating the logistics of a newly relocated international event can feel overwhelming. Many fans are currently wondering how to handle ticketing changes, venue rules, and travel plans safely.

The Esports World Cup 2026 is officially moving to the vibrant city of Paris, promising an elite competitive environment across seven action-packed weeks. This exciting shift brings a fresh wave of opportunities for European fans and international travelers alike.

This detailed guide explores everything you need to know about securing your tickets, understanding strict venue safety protocols, navigating Paris Expo, and optimizing your digital experience through the free EWC Play platform.

✈️ Why is the Esports World Cup 2026 Moving to Paris?

The organizers designed the tournament with a long-term global vision to rotate elite gaming competitions through major international hubs over time. Paris offers the perfect combination of world-class infrastructure, accessibility, and an incredibly passionate local fan community.

While Riyadh remains central to the long-term future of the tournament with plans to return there in 2027, the 2026 edition in France ensures top-tier competitive conditions. This strategic move helps scale the event globally while maintaining safety and accessibility.

Ecosystem stakeholders closely coordinated this transition to ensure that players, international clubs, and fans experience a seamless tournament. The Paris Expo venue will host seven weeks of intense competition under optimal conditions.

By hosting the event in Europe, the organizers aim to unite diverse communities and provide a highly secure, easily reachable destination for global travelers. This transition highlights the tournament's commitment to evolving as a truly global spectacle.

🎫 How Do Ticket Refunds and New Sales Work?

If you purchased tickets for the original Riyadh venue, you do not need to take any manual action to get your money back. The ticketing platform is automatically processing full refunds directly to your original payment method.

Most fans will see the returned funds in their bank accounts much faster, though the absolute maximum processing time is 21 working days. Keep an eye on your email for official confirmation notifications from the ticket provider.

Tickets for the highly anticipated Paris event will go on sale in the coming weeks. Original ticket holders will receive a unique promotional code via email, granting them priority access or special discounts when the platform reopens.

To avoid ticket scams or inflated prices, always purchase your passes directly through official partner platforms. Customer support teams on those designated sites are fully equipped to resolve any purchase difficulties or order inquiries.
